  1. Give yourselves time to relax and bond with your spouse-to-be before the wedding day.
  2. Don’t wait until the last minute to book vendors or set a budget- do it as soon as you’re engaged!
  3. Plan ahead for out-of-town guests by booking hotel rooms well in advance and providing welcome bags with local recommendations.
  4. Work with a wedding planner to take some of the stress off of you and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the big day.
  5. Delegate tasks to your maid of honor, best man, and other close friends or family members to help them feel involved in the planning process.
  6. Choose a venue that fits your style and budget, and book it early!
  7. Plan your menu carefully, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or food allergies that your guests may have.
  8. Find a photographer who you click with and who will be able to capture the feeling of your day perfectly.
  9. Don’t forget to schedule time for hair and makeup trials before the big day!

  15. Plan an unforgettable bachelor/bachelorette party that both you and your spouse will enjoy.
  16. Have a backup plan for inclement weather if you’re getting married outdoors.
  17. Address save-the-dates and invitations promptly so that your guests have plenty of time to make travel arrangements
  18. Make sure you take care of yourself leading up to the wedding by eating healthy meals, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep!

  25. Plan activities for kids if you have many young guests attending

  27. Choose a florist who understands your vision and can work within your budget
  28. Make sure all important documents (marriage license, passports, etc.) are in order well ahead of time
